Shipping Policy

Sandy Coburn Photography & Communications  ·  Last updated: May 2026

Made to order — please read before placing an order Every fine art print is produced individually to order. Production begins after the 24-hour cancellation window closes. Delivery timelines reflect the nature of bespoke, museum-quality production and international fine art logistics — not off-the-shelf fulfilment. Please plan accordingly and contact Sandy Coburn Photography with any timeline questions before placing your order.

1. Complimentary Delivery

Delivery is complimentary on all orders. No shipping charges are added at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay.

Every print is professionally packaged and shipped with full insurance by Sandy Coburn Photography's fine art production partner, using specialist carriers selected for their handling standards and experience with large-format fine art.

2. Production and Dispatch Timeline

All prints are made to order. There are no ready-made stock items. The timeline from order to dispatch is as follows:

Estimated timeline Orders are typically dispatched within approximately two weeks of the order being confirmed and placed into production. This estimate applies to standard orders under normal conditions and excludes transit time to your destination.

This timeline reflects the production of a bespoke, museum-quality fine art print — not standard retail fulfilment. No expedited production or rush service is available.

A personalised email confirming your edition number and estimated dispatch window is sent once your order has been placed into production. You will receive a separate notification with tracking information as soon as your print has been dispatched.

3. Carriers and Delivery

Prints are shipped via specialist fine art carriers selected for destination, print size, and handling requirements. Carriers used include DHL, DPD, UPS, and FedEx/TNT depending on your location.

Large format note Prints with a dimension of 125 cm or greater may be delivered via a two-person specialist delivery service, which requires someone to be present at the delivery address. You will be notified if this applies to your order.

All shipments are fully insured for the value of the print. Tracking information will be provided as soon as your order is dispatched. Sandy Coburn Photography is not able to specify a particular carrier in advance, as carrier selection is made at dispatch based on destination and the physical requirements of your print.

Express or expedited shipping is not available.

4. International Orders and Customs

Sandy Coburn Photography ships worldwide. All orders outside the European Union are subject to the customs regulations of the destination country.

A note on shipping documentation for non-EU orders For orders shipped outside the European Union, international customs regulations require that the manufacturer and shipper be identified on customs and shipping documentation. Your print is produced and shipped by WhiteWall, Sandy Coburn Photography's fine art production partner. WhiteWall's name will therefore appear on customs paperwork, carrier notifications, and any customs correspondence for non-EU shipments. This is a legal requirement and does not affect your purchase, your edition, or your relationship with Sandy Coburn Photography in any way. If you receive a customs notification referencing WhiteWall, this refers to your Sandy Coburn Photography order.

Customs duties, import taxes, and any associated fees are the sole responsibility of the collector. These charges are determined by your country's customs authority and are entirely outside Sandy Coburn Photography's control. They are not included in the print price and cannot be estimated in advance.

Please be aware of the following before placing an international order:

  • You are responsible for ensuring your order can be legally imported into your country and for paying any applicable duties or taxes upon arrival.
  • If an order is held by customs, it is your responsibility to contact the relevant customs authority and arrange release. Sandy Coburn Photography will provide any supporting documentation reasonably required to assist with customs clearance.
  • If an order is abandoned, refused, or returned due to failure to pay customs duties or respond to a customs notice, Sandy Coburn Photography cannot issue a refund and is not liable for the loss of the print.

If you have questions about customs requirements in your country, we recommend contacting your local customs authority before placing an order.

5. Delivery Address

Please ensure your delivery address is correct and complete at the time of ordering. Sandy Coburn Photography is not responsible for orders that cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided at checkout.

If you need to update your delivery address after placing an order, contact sandy@sandycoburnphotography.com immediately. Address changes may be possible within the 24-hour cancellation window but cannot be guaranteed once production has commenced.

For large-format prints requiring a two-person delivery, please ensure someone is available to receive the shipment at the specified address. If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, redelivery arrangements are the responsibility of the collector and may incur additional charges from the carrier.

6. Your Order — Step by Step

Here is exactly what to expect from the moment you place your order to the moment your print is on your wall.

  1. 1
You place your order Complete your order through the store. A confirmation step at checkout gives you a final opportunity to review your selection, size, and medium before committing.
  2. 2
Automatic order confirmation You receive an immediate confirmation email with your order details and a summary of this policy. Your 24-hour cancellation window begins at this point.
  3. 3
24-hour cancellation window If you need to cancel, contact Sandy Coburn Photography within 24 hours of your confirmation email. See the Returns & Refunds Policy for full details. After this window, production proceeds and the sale is final.
  4. 4
Your edition number is assigned and production begins Once the cancellation window closes, your print is placed into production. Your unique edition number is assigned at this point and recorded in the private edition archive.
  5. 5
Production confirmation email You receive a personal email from Sandy Coburn confirming your edition number (for example, "Edition 7 of 15"), your estimated dispatch window, and any relevant details about your specific print and its production. Hold on to this email — your edition number is part of your print's permanent provenance record.
  6. 6
Dispatch notification and tracking Once your print has been dispatched, you receive a notification with your carrier tracking number and estimated delivery window. For non-EU orders, your tracking correspondence may reference WhiteWall as the shipper — see Section 4 above. Large-format orders requiring two-person delivery will also be flagged at this stage.
  7. 7
Your print arrives Inspect your print carefully upon arrival and please let Sandy Coburn Photography know it has arrived safely. If there is any damage, photograph it and the packaging immediately and contact sandy@sandycoburnphotography.com within 48 hours. See the Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.
  8. 8
Your Certificate of Authenticity Once Sandy Coburn Photography has confirmed your print has arrived in perfect condition, your signed Certificate of Authenticity is dispatched to you separately. It confirms your edition number, title, size, medium, and your place in the edition's permanent provenance record. A digital copy is held in the private edition archive.

7. Insurance and Risk

All shipments are fully insured for the replacement value of the print. In the event of loss or confirmed damage in transit, Sandy Coburn Photography will manage the insurance claim with the carrier on your behalf and arrange a replacement print at no cost to you, subject to the conditions set out in the Returns & Refunds Policy.

Risk of loss passes to you upon confirmed delivery to the address provided at checkout.
